And now I'm letting rip at an intersectional feminist who is apparently very reasonable generally when I should be using the opportunity to find common ground with her and also point out the flaws of intersectionality. I must be tired.

I just get so angry at this 'woman-as-victim' narrative. Some women are victims of awful things and deserve our support & respect even if they are never able to recover. But women as a group are NOT eternally victimised by everything. We are competent adults!

The only significant and meaningful difference is, and should be, that between INDIVIDUALS. Everything else is merely dangerously inaccurate categorisation and generalisation EVERYONE is different and should be entitled to be approached and treated on that basis

Agreed. And quick categorisation (danger-opportunity) is a survival trait baked into our genetics But it's important to be aware of the inherent presumptions we continually make and to see our way beyond them
