Nice! I rewrote the Princess and the Pea for my daughter. It begins as usual with the prince's parents being convinced she is good enough for him coz she is bruised by a pea under 20 mattresses. I'm sure that's right, up to a point. In fact I always assumed that until I heard Pinker talking about how many personality traits are shared by separated identical twins. But mainly I was just making a lame joke, there.

Actually, I seem to remember reading somewhere - might have been Pinker - that those & other studies seem to show you can certainly *reduce* a child's resilience, confidence, etc., more clearly than you can instil it.
