I'm more optimistic that gender identity & why it doesn't always correlate with reproductive systems will be much better understood in the near future but, ethically, this.https://twitter.com/jessesingal/status/933396261369237510 …
And yet, people don't always feel the same gender as their chromosomes and so it seems that chromosomes don't dictate how we feel either sexually or in relation to gender. Latter seems related to white & grey brain cell distribution, genes that act on sex hormones & heredity.

I am not making myself clear. There IS no gender but chromosomes. I am just a person with female sexual characteristics. How I choose to live with that is up to me. But notions of feeling-based gender put me in a box.
-
Brains & hormones also exist. You don't have to believe in gender or identify with one. Other people can tho.
-
I do believe in gender. As defined by chromosomes and the sexual characteristics that usually flow from them. But these do not determine feelings or personality or identity. There are an infinity of ways of being within one’s gender.
-
I thought that was sex? I am talking about gender identity. You can believe whatever you want about it but just let other people do the same? The right answers will emerge & soon.

I don’t know how to say this again. Gender isn’t a feeling. What IS this thing you call a woman if it isn’t the physicality. What does either of us have in common with Kim Kardashian or Angela Merkel. Or they with each other. Define woman.
-
You don't have to keep telling me what you believe. It's a common Radfem thing. I know it well. I don't care if you believe that. You have the right to. Just leave other people alone?
-
Oh God I am definitely not a radical feminist.
I am just asking someone to define what a woman or a man is. What is this thing they want to be but feel they aren’t. What is gender? It can’t surely just be whatever anyone says it is. Or is it? -
Obviously, they'll do that differently! It really doesn't matter if you don't understand why or how people can feel a gender different to their chromosomes. You don't need to. Science is developing fast on this tho.
-
Well thank you for your courtesy and for taking the time to respond to me at length. I wish you well

I am trying to hold this idea to some kind of intellectual scrutiny. I am asking people to define what are these ideas called man and woman. If not chromosomes or hormones or bodies. Then what?!? I have n objection to people living however they want. I wish they would.
-
Well, the science is developing. Seems to be a mix of a number of biological factors.

They imprison me in a box which is an idea of what a woman should be or feel. And I am not that
-
You are not imprisoned by other people having a sense of gender identity & they are not invalidated by you saying gender does not exist. You can just carry on doing your own thing.
