Good one! This brings up an interesting idea I've had for a while. The main problem with the social justice movement isn't their stated goals, which I mostly ageee with. It's their marketing. 1/

#BelieveWomen as we're discussing. Yes!#TakeWomenSeriously is a great option! I have some others for the social justice crowd. -
3/ BLM. Now many & maybe most people know that the idea of the moniker is "Black Lives Matter TOO". But many knuckleheads I speak to literally think the movement's point is that ONLY Black Lives Matter. So...
#BLMT ? -
4/ White Supremecy: In the States this meant the KKK of Neo Nazis. People who actually think non white people are inferior. Now it's a blanket term for any and all bias. But people hear it as linking them to the KKK when what they mean is bias. So call it: White Dominance
-
5/ Racism: We just have to go back to dictionary definitions here. There's no other way. Racism Bias Prejudice These are different words with different meanings. Look em up people!
-
6/ White Privilege: Like supremecy, "privilege" has a history. It means rich. So while the majority in any society almost always has an advantage due to bias, telling a kid who grew up in a trailer park that their "privileged" is not gonna win many allies. White Advantage

I agree so much with all your points. When we lose accuracy of language in soc justice we abandon fairness and encourage defensiveness. Let’s go back to using the correct words so we don’t alienate people!

Yes! But this view is an uphill climb in the current atmosphere.
