Since when did a tiny minority get to decide how to language? Genuine question, “cis” is a solution for the problem that some trans women have with, well women. I checked my books on anatomy & they do not use the prefix. The term is a medical one with a specific meaning.

Cis and trans are antonyms in Latin. Just as the word 'heterosexual' needed to be invented when 'homosexual' came along, we needed one for the opposite of trans & that is what cis is.

Well, you can say biological or congenital if you prefer that to 'cis' but sometimes, like just now, you'll need a word to distinguish between trans women and ...cis women.

If you just say 'women', people won't know you're not including trans women. If you 'women and trans women', it will be clear you don't consider trans women to be women. Which is your right. I do tho, so I need a word.

If a man transitions into a female, then she should be treated as female, and so women is fine. Adding a prefix to delineate a subset from the group is divisive imho. It’s just another fractionation of identity politics. If feminists want to play that game they can, but I’ll pass
