I don't actually see a moral imperative to perpetuate the species, let alone my own race, culture, nationality.

So I can't really join the moral panic about declining birth rates. Aside from practical issues around an aging population, this is morally neutral.

Some think this is inconsistent with wanting to address climate change, but, in that case, we *know* future generations will exist and don't want to mess things up for them. It's perfectly compatible with not believing individuals have an obligation to *create* future generations

I only bring this up because I have seen some people argue that the Left's pro choice stance and not buying into "potential personhood" as a meaningful concept are somehow incompatible with wanting to combat climate change on behalf of future people
