Which is why I to do the Nietzschean thing and strike all idols with a hammer to see if they’re hollow. Of course I don’t always succeed.

It is a life-long process and it works best by testing our ideas against other ideas and really trying to see their value. Being prepared to be wrong. It is still imperfect but the best we can do and it has served us well.

I disagree with you a lot but I see your intention to be intellectually honest, kind and open to other views & that, I think, is the most important thing we should all be doing right now to fix the mess we're in.

IAW you both. So many - perhaps the vast majority - of opinions are ex post facto justifications of the POV that's most emotionally appealing to the opiner.
