That's not establishing a causal effect, though. It's not like marriage is randomly assigned, there is some pretty sever selection bias, so the differences in outcomes can't reliably be attributed to single parenthood.

It does seem unlikely that if all the separate parents currently doing badly raising kids were forcibly married and planted in the same house, that their parenting would improve.

Accounting for confounding variables, growing up with two parents in the home is the biggest indicator of health, educational achievement, trouble avoidance, etc. It's not even close. And yes, pulling a baby out of his/her mother's womb one limb at a time is objectively bad.
