I've long been worried abt the narrowing of ideas in the humanities & social sciences & authoritarian measures to censor & punish wrongthink but now also by anti-intellectual drives to discredit universities & scholarship generally using this as justification.

No, but sometimes the correct medical approach is to amputate to save the patient. I genuinely don't expect that universities will be worth attending by the time my kids are college age.

@benshapiro already employs the joke "you have to be highly educated to be this stupid" and it's funny because of how true it is. Higher "education" often produces people who are less able to reason about the world than when they started.
