Thanks for the encouragement! My boys don't don't need me for cuddles anymore, so.... should go for it. :(

I've been watching @HPluckrose s pup grow up via twitter. Love, joy and chaos.

I'll give her follow ...decent writer. Difficult, i expect, if you've got to train them from scratch.

Just a little time and patience usually. If they're not traumatised. Just need to learn the rules. Most want to please.

Aw, I suppose they've got their own sense of hygiene. What type of dog is she/he?

I have labradors at the moment but have fostered staffs and collies too. They just need to know what you want. Adopted dogs are grateful!

Gosh, you've got your hands full then. That they're grateful, says a lot about you. I like labs and collies, v intelligent dogs.

Yes! But the thing to bear in mind abt adopting intelligent dogs is that they take longer to get over trauma & fear of abandonment.

They can have long-term mental illness. We couldn't save the Collie and it was kinder to let him go. Less intelligent dogs bounce back.

But you needn't get one who has had trauma. Very many haven't. Have just been given up coz owners moved or died so very sad & need cuddles.
