I think it's natural to be nervous of becoming victim of violence. Both men & women experience this when encountering stronger unknown ppl.

The fact that the unknown person/people likely to be perceived as greater potential physical danger when male is not prejudice but reality.

One can experience this fear at the same time as being resolutely opposed to hateful sexist generalisations of men as violent criminals.

It is a common tactic to cite stats on violent crime in service of misandrist aims but those same stats refute claims of widespread VAW.
