Block is not equivalent to choosing not to read everything. That's what Mute is for. Also have Mute Convo now.

It is. I don’t have to go to every meeting or listen to every opinion. Your right to speak is not hindered by my block.

Where there is free speech, people are still allowed not to share. There are still private conversations.

Sure, and you're free to use Protected accounts, or DMs to have a private convo. Broadcast a tweet and it's not a private convo.
