I'm very wary of the idea that the identity of a scientist adds dimensions to science. Those dimensions would seem to be unwanted.

I'm not sure what's supposed to be "unfortunate" about your stance. Sounds like a friendly way of being condescending to both you and men.

Pushing people who don't actually want to be in a field will only produce unhappy and thus unproductive workers.

If women want to be in STEM, of course they shouldn't be discouraged from it, but expecting this 50/50 divide seems Utopian.
