We still have consistent pancultural moral emotions tho - a sense of empathy, justice, compassion, fairness. Then mediated thru culture.

I don't know what that means. We also evolved tendencies towards ideological zealotry, tribalism & violence.

I don't give it an arbitrary definition. I define it in terms of liberal humanism & consider societies more or less moral accordingly.

You presumably argue for a religious morality & evaluate societies from that perspective? It's hard to see how that is more objective.
