An explanation would be required for us to start. Why would goodness be illusory if our morality evolved rather than was god-given?

No, I mean we evolved consistent moral emotions, mostly in the pre-frontal cortex. Because it helped us survive as social mammals.

We still have consistent pancultural moral emotions tho - a sense of empathy, justice, compassion, fairness. Then mediated thru culture.

I don't know what that means. We also evolved tendencies towards ideological zealotry, tribalism & violence.
