Not here. Having worked with mentally incompetent adults, you still cannot take their stuff or confine them as punishment.

Surely those who pose a danger to themselves or others can be confined by force. Same logic applies to children.

Yes, but I'm not talking about those who pose a danger to themselves. I'm talking about ways of disciplining children also OK for adults.

Hit a mentally impaired person? Sure, for all the same legal reasons as hitting anyone else.

Not as punishment, but I wouldn't do that to a kid either. If they have a phone, they didn't buy it. They don't own it.

They might have been given it as a birthday or christmas gift tho. Would it be OK to take it away?
