Some serious gender stereotyping going on here.http://www.scarymommy.com/emma-you-shouldve-asked-mental-load/?utm_source=FBOnsite …

I'm sure it's true that more women take management roles in families. My own observation of my friends tells me it is.

But as a woman who doesn't, I can confirm that the world does not end if you are not a multi-tasking domestic goddess.

I don't think its the woman's job to be household manager or the man's to be managed and then blamed for not being the household manager.

I think most couples work this out between them. I am not an organised person. If everything depended on me, we'd be screwed, quite frankly.

I think with heterosexual couples, if one of them is more likely to want everything 'just so', it's more often the woman.

And if so, there's probably not much point in demanding your partner to be the same. Dave nags me about the kitchen cupboards now & then.

When I look at my own mom, everything has to be perfectly clean, at the right time... Even when there's no one else coming in the house.

article is shit (mostly because it's one sided and doesn't "perfectly explain the gender 'war").
