I don't know. I might be wrong but I think if 'New Atheists' were inclined to have romantic Protestant Myth ideas about the Reformation...

Ayaan's book contains list of quite radical reforms she'd like to make to Islam. At least, many muslims wld consider them so.

Yes, OK. These certainly impact on doctrine - eg stop regarding Muhammad as perfect - but mostly they're ethical.

And I don't think she defines the New Atheist attitude towards to the Reformation anyway.

Well, I don't think it is. I see New Atheism as rather lacking in nuance when it comes to distinguishing between denominations of religion.
