I will concede that claims of universal truth can be undermined. But I think that's a good thing and makes science better.
Does the scientific method, the system of peer review, the conventions of reducing variable, double blind etc not count.

They all exist to address very real weaknesses. There may still be unaddressed weaknesses.

Yes. The process of finding ways to further reduce bias and error will probably continue until our extinction.

Sure. Eradicating smallpox is only useful in relation to smallpox. It doesn't fix global warming or racism or crime.
