False choice. We can have society built on Enlightenment values and seek justice for more people. May just require discomfort/protests.

We didn't suggest otherwise. Those values have increased social justice at an incredible rate in the last 50 years. Let's not ditch them.

I don't rule out loud, uncomfortable protests. They are one way of drawing attention to a problem but we also need to change people's ideas.

Social justice requires taking different points of view and seeing subjective truth. Modernity must learn that from postmodernism.
