This is different from the rape as a pre-existing condition claim? Not conservatives, no. Some extreme versions of it - US particularly bad

This was related to PTSD as a result of a crime needn't be covered. Yeah US conservatives - but IMO - the entire cabal is pretty shitty as far as women go. But that's just my opinion.

Well, yes, a lot of them are women, of course, and conservative feminism exists & the belief in equal rights is held by the majority.

Women being against women's interests due to religion or brainwashing is hardly new. It's pretty standard. The fact that they're women doesn't mean they aren't harmful to women's interests.

Very true :) I just don't see that there being 'conservative' women is a point to make that they're not against women's interests. It's like women voting for Trump. Which is just.. words fail me.

Well, they're for their own interests as women which are different to the interests we might have as women.

They think women are better served by a different set of values to liberal ones. It's not that they hate themselves & their whole sex.

They'd say liberal women act against women's interests.

Again, of course, you're right that some could have the views you say-my previous reply should have been 'a significant part'. Then again, its my personal opinion that conservatives en masse are a danger to women, in my perspective.

Even if they have views against gender equality & reproductive freedom etc, they still think they're on women's side.

They think that liberalism is a danger to women, that's it made them unhappy, that it will endanger them with immigration decisions etc

Like you, I think they're wrong. I think a centre-leftie liberalism gets the balance right but centre-right is quite good too.

It usually means more focus on individual responsibility - a belief that women can succeed by working hard rather than changing society.

Ironically - came across this today. weird when conservatives complain about being marginalised on college campuses on the US - no one owes an obligation to be nice. But anyway-they describe Carly Fiorina, and Nikki Haley as 'incredible trailblazers' -https://www.forbes.com/sites/karinagness/2017/09/29/why-conservative-women-are-persisting/#39b196006c79 …

FIorina who managed to send an otherwise very profitable company into a downward spiral and Haley who derided Trump during the campaign but was only too happy to succumb to the UN post. Not to mention she is doing BADLY at that. Sure, you dont need to admire HRC. But these women?

true.. but the fact that THEY think it, doesn't mean they are though right? Also, in your prev statistic, you quoted many of them 'believing' in equality. If they dont even believe in equality, then thats a class even beneath the ones who do bt have a weird conception of equality

No but the fact that we do doesn't mean we are either. A bit of humility is needed. I find Jonathan Haidt good on this.
