In films, if a woman slaps a man, its funny. If a man slaps a woman, we know he's the villain. It's just not culturally acceptable.

It's crazy to say we have a culture that teaches men to be violent against women & girls.

We have a culture that teaches men to be violent, period. And it does also have some degree of chivalry thrown in on top of that (1/x)

And when people lash out, it's often at whatever is closest. The privacy of relationships also contributes. (2/x)

But when men kill, they kill men 75% of the time. Assaults are similar. So it's conditioning toward violence, not sexist violence. (3/3)

I'd love for you to prove that violence is culturally conditioned rather than culturally inhibited. It seems crazy to say we condone this

Women's lives are worth more, yes. Men are more disposable. Almost certainly related to evolutionary psychology again.

Is it evolutionary? Or is it the cultural hangover from what was useful to Feudal rulers for 1500 years?

It's almost certainly evolutionary. We have yet to seriously try to mitigate it. We just accept that men are disposable.

Why declare it evolutionary when many evolutionary pressures are hypothetical and we have written record of cultural pressures?
