I don't have much patience with 'This expression/word is code for this horrible meaning.' Just address what people are saying.

'Cultural Marxism' is used to claim that Marxism has been extended to other identity groups but is essentially the same thing.
-
Whereas Steven meant elements of actual Marxism - economic theory - in society. Prob better to call those simply 'Marxist ideas.'
-
ah, i don’t see the need to take what these people care about seriously. maybe if they called me a nazi fewer times it would matter to me
-
I do coz they have cultural power.
-
well capitulating has never won anything, but good luck!
-
You see me as capitulating to it? I'm not sure how many more 'Why this is a problem that needs countering urgently' essays I can write.
-
i see taking their connotation games seriously as capitulating since that is their primary conversational tactic
-
i see refusing to deal with them on their level as the winning move

Precise language is important, I think, and I certainly don't want to help advance pernicious ideas I totally reject

I am at war with the concept of 'cultural Marxism' because it misses half of the picture of what's happening with the Postmodern Left.

And simplifies and confuses the other half.

Time for another excellent and insightful essay?

This is a problem I frequently encounter: set out to express a particular idea, realize my understanding of context is lacking
