I think it clear there are several. It simply isn't true women are never told a) they can be scientists or b) they can prioritise motherhood

We're told both of these all the time as though we might not have noticed. Sarcasm can be hard to avoid in these cases.

I don't know how common it is for women to regret not having kids. I know its very common for them to be told they will.

I tend to think its a human thing to have pangs of regret for paths untaken but we might not all crave the same potential paths.

I've always thought the "dominant narratives" stuff to be insulting; yes, it's a factor, but it's not the only one that matters.
