I don't think we can take 'mansplaining' accusations as evidence that men are overbearing & 'nagging' ones as proof men try to silence women

Calling out mansplaining is quite a recent phenomenon. Mansplaining is not. Calling strong women bossy nags is also not new at all.

You'd hope we'd have learnt from that to employ charity. It's not reasonable to say 'Mansplaining=real. Nagging=Silencing strong women'

Mansplaining is a real thing. So is nagging. But many women who are not nagging are accused of it in an attempt to silence them.

Interesting. In what context do you see this happening to "many" men? I've never seen it happen to a man just explaining something.

I've never seen it happen to a man being condescending & sexist. Usually, he's just explaining something or being a bit of a know-it-all
