Calling out mansplaining is quite a recent phenomenon. Mansplaining is not. Calling strong women bossy nags is also not new at all.

You'd hope we'd have learnt from that to employ charity. It's not reasonable to say 'Mansplaining=real. Nagging=Silencing strong women'
-
When did this become a discussion about charity? And what is the relevant link?
-
'Nagging woman' and 'mansplaining' can both be used to describe overbearing, hectoring behaviour. Both more often used to be sexist.
-
Rather than gendered slurs, it is better to be charitable, recognise different speaking styles & criticise domineering behaviour if nec.
-
OR criticise mansplaining when it happens, and not when it's stylistic boorishness, because we're smart enough to know the difference.

The evidence for this is somewhat lacking.

I don't see how feminists can say "nagging" is a derogatory term and then turn around and say "mansplaining".
-
It's this little thing called a "lack of self-awareness".

Well we can, but it'd mean adopting the paradigm that women are always right and their perception of reality is the real reality.
