I think that is probably supply and demand more than gender. My good looking male friends react much less +vely to compliments than I do.

That sounds very plausible to me. I imagine you get bored of compliments if you get them often and cherish them if they're rare

I never had a problem w compliments re appearance. I've expressed thm myself. Problm is whn they're accompanied by quid pro quo propositions
