Ppl find it odd I study historical religious narratives&how ppl used these morally &epistemologically when I mostly argue for not doing that

We are a story-telling species & this is a very dominant way that we are inclined to process & evaluate both reality & ethics.

By all means, let's tell each other stories & discuss the deep psychological & moral meanings we find within them. Part of our humanity.

But when we do this almost exclusively & neglect the fruits of the Enlightenment in terms of science, reason, respect for evidence generally

...things go horribly wrong. Society got better when we established an expectation that arguments make logical sense & claims are evidenced.
