No, we should stop making them for men too. By 'It does happen' I mean older women do say this & this is probably for a mixture of reasons.

I like it as a joke in a spirit of fun. But the ppl who invent these terms seem to take them seriously and find jokes offensive and harmful.

Me too. Affectionate teasing re: gender stereotypes is healthy but as you note, there's a mean spirited paranoia & humourlessness abt it.
