Yes. It just wasn't called that because it wasn't identified as a problem. Like racism or sexism. The words came abt to name a problem.https://twitter.com/johncouch_john/status/911672111877558272 …

Did 'Islamism' exist when Muslim conquerors murdered 100's of 1000's of Hindus & Buddhists in early Afghan & India? No, it didn't.

Islam & 'Islamism' aren't exclusive of 1 another. They're 1 & the same. Islam, & democracy secularism are like trying to mix water and oil

Well, they are. Islam is a religion. It evolves and is reinterpreted differently in different times & places & by different individuals.pic.twitter.com/9Z4n63BmqP

Evolves? 🤔 The Quran & Hadith haven't evolved in 1400 yrs. Mo's early callin to spread Islam thru violence is to blame 4 Islamic terrorism

The Quran has always seen to be perfect as it is deemed to be the literal word of God. How do u reform 'perfection?. Wasting their time..

Its only a waste of time if you don't think it matters much whether your countries Muslims have values compatible with liberal democracy.

That's why the reformers get attacked a lot by the far-left. They don't think this is necessary. The rest of us do.

The very few 'reformers' that exist only do so in the West. Very much like the apostates from Islam. They r the ones I feel for the most

But yes, they are a minority. There are more liberals who try to claim the Quran supports their interp. Better than the conservatives obv.
