In part, I do quantitative work on manuscripts; I’ve had to learn to explain these points (to other Hum scholars) very concisely ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had to do it for the charity organisation I work for voluntarily. I don't enjoy it at all & would rather not do it.

I'd rather take other people's quantitative data and use it in my own arguments. That is much more enjoyable!

I think it wld drive them mad. I'm having to group responses into broadly similar categories & can't avoid a subjective/interpretive element

eg, putting ppl who say 'I find intersec too radical' with ppl who say 'I think intersec is going too far' but do they mean the same thing?

Same with & ppl who say ' I advocate equal opportunities, not equal outcome' with ppl who say 'I favour meritocracy not affirmative action.'

Some of it is simpler 'I'm not allowed to criticise Islam' but some of it harder coz ppl can be vague and waffly.

Is this a poll you are designing or are you just analysing data?

Its a survey I sent out. Trying to group the responses to open questions like 'What are your main differences with intersectionality?'

Cool. Will it be a representative survey? As in a scientific poll?
