I do need to say how many of my respondents said specific issues were a point of contention for them.

You just need to pair up with a statistician.

I think it wld drive them mad. I'm having to group responses into broadly similar categories & can't avoid a subjective/interpretive element
-
eg, putting ppl who say 'I find intersec too radical' with ppl who say 'I think intersec is going too far' but do they mean the same thing?
-
Same with & ppl who say ' I advocate equal opportunities, not equal outcome' with ppl who say 'I favour meritocracy not affirmative action.'
-
Some of it is simpler 'I'm not allowed to criticise Islam' but some of it harder coz ppl can be vague and waffly.
-
Is this a poll you are designing or are you just analysing data?
-
Its a survey I sent out. Trying to group the responses to open questions like 'What are your main differences with intersectionality?'
-
Cool. Will it be a representative survey? As in a scientific poll?

Yes! (Though qualitative data is very, very interesting imo) I don't envy you rn. But I am very interested in it.pic.twitter.com/KS8ZEQgyeP
