Yes, priorities change. If we were in a war situation, men (and women) could think it their responsibility to spend time learning to fight.

Being able to fight may or may not be important given the situation. Having those skills is decidedly good. Also very attractive.

Please read the thread. If you've not found that people are more sympathetic to female victims of violence than male, I'm amazed.

Sympathy. But I'm suggesting we're less sympathetic to male victims coz of a feeling they've more responsibility to be able to defend selves
