Not insisting they need to get over it. Insisting they don't use their fear as justification for denying protection to trans women.https://twitter.com/vaginaperson/status/908631828138950656 …
Not at the expense of providing same service for men. Same principle with someone who has been assaulted by a black person. Work past it.

In your world a rape victim couldn't ask for a male gyn, she'd have to "work past it"?
-
No. That would be an accommodation. However, she should still try to work past it. Coz the alternative is not trying to recover & that's bad
-
I think it is reasonable to have sex differentiated bathrooms and locker rooms. No one is saying that men have to clear a 3 mi radius.
-
OK. Although it gets complicated when it comes to bathrooms coz passing trans women don't cause alarm but passing trans men do.

I was thinking that women inclined to be afraid of men would be afraid of this person tho born with vagina.pic.twitter.com/OujE0WmwQi

Whilst not being afraid of this person tho born with penis. It becomes about 'passing' in practice if we want to accommodate fear.pic.twitter.com/kBt97dLlea

But this assumes all the ones that exist now & are publicly funded should be for women.
-
Nobody is stopping radfems from creating vagina-only shelters either.A larger point. Limited resources to help victims who aren't all female
-
Won't the GRA do just that though?
-
But you've highlighted the larger problem funds given are such a pittance groups are infighting over them.

Then how about working past the fact people see your bio sex despite fact you don't like it?
-
Yep, that too. Mustn't force others to pretend to accept your gender identity if they believe something different.
