Sudden thought: I'm been watching Top of the Lake and most men in that series are hideously misogynistic. Do those men really exist 1)
-
-
-
I say this because if not, then I can understand the overcompensation that some men will want to enact in response to that narrative 2)
-
A narrative perpetuated by many feminists. I'm 47 and I can't remember meeting men like those in my life! Maybe I'm just naive 3/3
-
I've met one genuine misogynist in my 43 years and a handful of men I suspected might be. Generally, no.
-
Even men, amongst themselves, tend to not manifest those egregious proclivities. And I worked in the trades 15 odd years ago!
-
I believe this. My husband asked a man if he wanted to take it outside because of the way he was speaking about women & he's v easy-going
-
But male feminists think they are so special. Just be a decent human being
