It is always possible that what someone doesn't like about what you are saying is to do with what you are saying tho.

I mean, if someone feels hurt by a racist statement, it doesn't mean they need to go and reflect on what they don't like about their race.

But it could be a personal feeling that the claim is wrong. Sometimes people are hurt by accusations they think are false & unfair.
