That seems to me like the naturalistic fallacy. It means that we need to understand them to reduce misunderstanding & accommodate them.

Someone needs to read Haidt. -
He has and bases his whole worldview on the moral foundations but I don't think his argument is justified by it.

Indeed, I recognised TRM too, but didn't read TRM as validation of conservatism - rather, empathetic appreciation conservative morality. 1/2
