This is well-intentioned but I think fatally flawed. How can we progress as a society if we do not have different ideas & argue for them?https://twitter.com/Akin_Rujomu/status/905426293763842049 …

We don't ask Muslims to confirm that the belief that Jesus was the son of God is just as good as the belief that nothing compares to God.

In part bec it requires an a priori objective/universal metric by which all such claims are evaluated
-
They don't want to evaluate them. They just want everyone to say every belief is good & equally true. Which makes no sense.
-
Muslims & Jews would have to be fine with idea that Jesus was the son of God. Christians that he wasn't. Atheists fine with the lot of it.
-
Not just fine with other people believing that which we all should be but saying those beliefs are just as good & true as your own. Nonsense
-
I can say there are Jews who do hold that opinion as it pertains to other religions. OTOH, I recently shared this on FBpic.twitter.com/yHdLannQA8
-
That doesn't allow for 'Jesus was messiah is just as true and good as the messiah is yet to come' tho! It maintains content difference!
-
Quite right - they tend to gloss over the details in favor of the abstract
