I am asking how you define it so I can address your question of whether atheism fits it. Do u define it as any position on existence of God?

I can define religion in so many ways. My issue isn't with atheism but the pursuit of atheists to disparage the major religions.

OK, so when you asked 'isn't atheism itself a form of religion' what did you mean? What argument wld you make that it is?

Nah. Atheists don't share the same values. Some favour science & rationalism. Biggest movement is anti-science SocJus version.

But that's the point isn't it. Atheism isn't just a loose band of people trying to find their way in the dark. They are an organised bunch

They're not tho. That's the point. What do the SocJus people have in common with the rationalists?

Most don't even care about my religion. My atheist parents are positive about it. My husband is indifferent.

But even if they were an organised group, would there be some reason that organised religion is OK but organised atheism is bad?

(I think both are bad, btw, although it does help to have some concerted action against religious privilege & human rights abuses,)
