53% of UK population now non-religious, 73% of 18-24 yr-olds. http://bit.ly/2gDlXDh Good news. Wish it applied to those of Muslim origin.

But that's the point isn't it. Atheism isn't just a loose band of people trying to find their way in the dark. They are an organised bunch
-
They're not tho. That's the point. What do the SocJus people have in common with the rationalists?
-
Most don't even care about my religion. My atheist parents are positive about it. My husband is indifferent.
-
But even if they were an organised group, would there be some reason that organised religion is OK but organised atheism is bad?
-
No, that was not my point. Religion in my view is not the real problem - the notion that one's ideology is better than the other is.
-
We can argue for different ideologies, surely! Different views of the world? Muslims don't have to say Christianity is equally true?!
-
I can prefer liberalism to conservatism? Humanism to religion?
-
We progress in liberal democracies by protecting the right to hold & express a variety of ideas. We don't have to hold them all equal.

And most atheists don't do movements. We can be conservative, liberal, radical, pro-religion, anti-religion, mystical, sceptical etc.
