Empathy is more personal. Sorry, but you can't really empathize with a black persons struggles. Have all the sympathy you want.

Yes, we can. We can all empathise with each other. If I have a miscarriage & feel grief, a man can know what grief feels like.

Omg. You just want to argue. Look up the definition. There is nothing wrong with sympathy. For example:...

Have u ever been afraid u would get shot by a cop b/c you're black? No? Then you can't empathize. You can have sympathy for someone who has.

Have you read Bloom on empathy? That's probably the most recent thorough exploration of the topic. Cognitive vs emotional.

If I told you that I fear that I could die or be irreparably brain damaged at any moment, could you really not imagine what that feels like?

Everyone dies but not everyone is targeted bc their skin color. Non POC don't have personal perspective on racial issues.

Studies are very easily manipulated to fit the biases of researches. Cherry picking is a basic logical fallacy used when gathering evidence.

I'm don't need an echochamber for being black. There's a pattern of experiences which if u would like could be basis for data analysis.
