I refer again to this analogy. To think you can "always empathize" is the epitomize of privelege. https://twitter.com/ttyger/status/905185825918337024 …

I have not. Have u ever been afraid that you would get shot by a cop b/c you're black or for any reason?
-
If I told you that I fear that I could die or be irreparably brain damaged at any moment, could you really not imagine what that feels like?
-
Everyone dies but not everyone is targeted bc their skin color. Non POC don't have personal perspective on racial issues.
-
They do but personal perspectives are seldom relevant. Evidence is better.
-
You think black ppl experiences are irrelevant? They're the most important part of the discussion bc they're the ppl effected by the outcome
-
Studies are very easily manipulated to fit the biases of researches. Cherry picking is a basic logical fallacy used when gathering evidence.
-
Indeed but still better than listening only to people in your own echo-chamber. That's confirmation bias on steroids.
-
I'm don't need an echochamber for being black. There's a pattern of experiences which if u would like could be basis for data analysis.
