If it were not so loaded with sexual connotations, cld be appropriate for a primary school. Nothing wrong with a scarf in itself unless hot.

But of what? Modesty as a religious virtue. Gender-specific modesty codes don't get better because they're religious.

Also, it is OK to not incorporate religious symbolism into school uniforms. Someone can decide whether or not they're religious later.

I'm not claiming they do or that they all do liberalism well. UK still allows genital mutilation of babies &has Christian worship in schools

Because it still has a Christian heritage male circumcion because of Jewish/Jesus culture nothing wrong with that

It still has head of state that is also head of the church and bishops still sit in parliament nothing wrong with that as well

And compulsory Christian worship in schools tho many teachers tell me if the school ignores this, nothing is done about it.
