Sure, but that works & keeps revising itself. Solipsism is interesting to think about for about 5 minutes but then we need to do life.

It's not solipsism. It's fallibilism. It's the humility to admit that we may be wrong about absolutely *anything*.
-
No! Fallibism is great. 'I believe cats are iphones' is not fallibism. 'We could be wrong in our assessment of things even that profound' is
-
We can provisionally accept that cats are biological organisms & iPhones man-made technology w/out forgetting that knowledge is provisional

We must be able to say at some point that some answers are just wrong & marginalise them. Evolution is true. Vaccines do not cause autism.

How many times have people told you that you are just wrong cos you're going against 'expert' consensus? I bet it happens quite often.

I like Sokal &Bricmont on this. They say radical sceptics cld be right & there's no reality but perfectly reasonable hypothesis that there is
-
And I don't think we need to worry nearly as much abt a lack of recognition of fallibility in established knowledge as abt the opposite...

The undermining of the idea that objective knowledge & truth exist & that there are better & worse ways of getting closer to them.
