I do see a problem with pushing the idea that anyone can do anything, as well-intentioned as it is. It screwed up my brother-in-law's life.

He struggles to learn anything & left school illiterate & innumerate but worked well as a forklift driver & as a supervisor of others.

His girlfriend could do the finances & read their post whilst he earnt most of the money to support their family so it worked fine.

But then health & safety laws changed & he was required to pass a literacy test to do his job. So he could read safety notices etc.

His employer paid for him to have adult literacy classes but no. Since then the unemployment office has sent him on 4. No.

Every time,report is that this isn't dyslexia or a lack of education. Its just not within his capabilities. His job was well within them tho

You shouldn't. I grasp most things effortlessly. Then I put no effort in to understand. People who have to work for it understand better.

By 'grasp', I mean 'understand fully.' There will always be ppl who do this more easily & less easily than you.
