I can't find that we disagree on anything. But Charles is asserting that feminism prevents women from doing this. Unclear how.
If you want a good lifestyle, yes. We cld live on my husband's income as fork-lift driver but wld have to move out of London ...

...get small place, be very economical, not have holidays or much in the way of consumer goods. Could eat & clothe ourselves tho.
-
Here, our middle class is a bit less well off, methinks
-
Quite possibly. Fork-lift driving is not a middle-class profession tho.
-
Here it depends on where you live and where you work
-
Whether it's middle-class? What is working class then?
-
Well in the area I live you can make well over $1000 a week driving forklift if you work for the right place
-
And is that what makes something middle-class? Not professional qualifications? But anyway, my husband doesn't. Gets £22,000 a year.
-
And that's in London. It;d be less outside it but still cheaper to live & rent/buy a house.
