People still complain about women being limited, yes, but I see very little that women have a moral imperative to work.

Maybe. But it's also not really an issue coz so few people are arguing women shld stay home. More maybe in America than here.

I see people disparaging those that choose it even when there's no significant mass of people who want it to be mandatory.

Seems so. Just doesn't seem to be a thing now. Gender roles still is, obv, and that's not unconnected.
