At the moment, he simply has no desire to please which is essential to the training of a dog. He lacks the will to be a good boy.

And you thought you were done with the night shifts!

He'll probably be OK by the end of the week. :-p
-
did you make that face because you know that my baby will not be ok by the end of the week?
-
Yep. It'll get better in a few months but then there'll be the nightmares & then the sickness bugs & endless colds.
-
My face is full of excitement right now ....

Because I am embarrassingly soft I had mine in the bed on the first night - she slept straight through. So you know...options...
-
I''d be scared he'd roll off and break something. He's already fallen off the sofa & that's much lower. Also upstairs isn't puppy-proof.
-
Ahhh...your new baby sounds like he's *much* more energetic than mine already. Good call - they have no fear at that age do they?

He went to bed at 12:30am? If so: possibly too late? If he had a long day sleep (12:30 - 3:30 pm) that is what is keeping him awake.
-
He was asleep on the sofa for some time before that. He's still very tiny. Can't really control when he sleeps. He just conks out at will.
-
Ah OK. Not easy, I know. Hang in there. It should get easier.
