I don't think it's dead, but I also don't think critical theory is useless. In the same way I'm influenced by Marx but I'm not a Marxist.

We might differ on its usefulness. I'd like intersectional ideas incorporated into a liberalism which values shared humanity & individuality

That's up to you. Sunk-cost fallacy isn't a good reason to keep using it but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

There is a good reason. Data. But before we get to discussing that it's rejected by many because intersectional. Which is bad.
