The opposition isn't just in ideologies. It's in the kind of appeal they hv, why ppl subscribe to them, what they understand by them, etc.
Yes, probably. I'd distinguish drastic ideological differences from shared features like authoritarianism & zealous certainty. Tangential.

But I agree with Iona about sharing the values of the left which have got fatally skewed whilst not sharing that of right which also have.
-
OK, that's where I disagree because I don't think fascism has got "skewed." I think it's always been a completely rotten ideology.
-
And that's the main difference between fascism & an SJW ideology. One was corrupted, hijacked, went wrong. The other was always wrong.
-
You don't see fascism as perverted, authoritarian version of conservative impulses? Altho some define it in a way that can include leftists
-
Hmm. I guess not. (I'd prob call the leftist version authoritarianism of prob more specifically Stalinism or local equivalent).
-
We are at cross-purposes then and you are criticising what I'd call radical authoritarian extremism & I agree there is no good kind.
-
No, I'm specifically criticising Nazism. I think there are other kinds of authoritarian extremism not centred on race theories. (all r bad)
